We're building the goods-transport layer South Africa actually needed — verified drivers, live bids and real numbers, for both sides of the marketplace.
In late 2023, our co-founder spent a Saturday calling thirteen moving companies for a quote to shift a couch from Sandton to Soweto. Three picked up, two quoted in writing, one showed up — and the bill was triple the verbal quote.
The problem was never the drivers. The country is full of people with reliable vehicles looking for work. The problem was the dispatch layer. There wasn't one.
MovR is what we wished existed that weekend: post a job, see real bids from verified drivers, pick the one that works, and track every kilometre.
Honestly priced, fairly paid, transparently tracked — for both sides of the marketplace.
For customers: instant quotes, no phone calls, no hidden surcharges, real-time tracking, and verified humans behind every wheel.
For drivers: fair bidding, fast payouts and real support — no fleet-contract handcuffs. We charge a small fixed platform fee, and the rest goes to the driver.
They're settled internally — this is simply how we operate.
The price you see is the price you pay. We publish our fee structure on the pricing page — no exceptions.
Every driver passes a background check, submits documents, and is rated by every customer. We remove those who don't earn the rating.
The platform succeeds when drivers earn more and customers pay less. We measure both, every month.
If we can't get you a bid in under a minute, the system is broken. We watch this number daily.
Book in any of these metros. Drivers bid from the area closest to your pickup.
